On November 15, the deputies of the Verkhovna Rada, led by the Head of the Group on Inter-Parliamentary Relations of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine with the RA Artem Dmytruk, visited Tsitsernakaberd Memorial Complex accompanied by the Head of the RA NA Armenia-Ukraine Friendship Group Hrachya Hakobyan and the members of the Group. The guests are in our country to participate in the Working Conference dedicated to the 20th anniversary of the Union of Ukrainian Armenians.
They laid flowers at the eternal fire perpetuating the memory of the Armenian Genocide victims and paid silent tribute to the memory of Holy Martyrs.
“Armenia and Ukraine are fraternal countries. The Genocide of Armenians is the fact of the human history which should not be repeated. Such realities are inadmissible,” Artem Dmytruk said.
According to the deputy, Ukraine and Armenia have many commonalities: both the Ukrainians and the Armenians have received painful blows at different times. “We should be friends and should help each other when needed,” the Ukrainian deputy underlined.
