On November 8, political consultations between the ministries of foreign affairs of the Republic of Slovenia and the Republic of Armenia took place in Ljubljana. The Armenian delegation was headed by Tigran Samvelyan, Head of the European Department of Armenia’s Foreign Ministry, and the Slovenian delegation was headed by Berta Mrak, Head Department for Eastern Europe, South Caucasus, Central Asia and the Arctic. The Armenian delegation consisted of the Armenia’s Ambassador to Slovenia Ashot Hovakimyan.
The interlocutors discussed a wide range of issues on the Armenian-Slovenian bilateral agenda, referred to the cooperation between the two countries in international organizations, the promotion of economic ties.
The Nagorno-Karabakh conflict was touched upon, and in that context, the key role of the Minsk Group Co-Chairs in achieving a comprehensive, comprehensive peaceful settlement of the issue was highlighted.
