Artsakh’s (Nagorno-Karabakh) Ombudsman Gegham Stepanyan stated on his Facebook page that on November 8, at 15:00, adjacent to the intersection near the entrance to the city of Shushi in the Artsakh Republic, the Azerbaijani side fired at civilians carrying out construction works, injuring 4 people. Civilians, one of whom, a 22-year-old E. M., died, and three (41-year-old S. A., 31-year-old M. G., 43-year-old D. G.) were receiving medical treatment.
Gegham Stepanyan informed that the doctors assess the condition of the injured as moderate.
"At the moment, the law enforcement bodies are carrying out relevant works to find out the circumstances of the incident, due to which the traffic in the Shushi section of the Stepanakert-Berdzor road has been stopped for a short time.
The recorded incident is another proof of the anti-Armenian, genocidal and fascist behavior of the Azerbaijani side towards the Armenian people, about which we have stated many times since the signing of the trilateral statement.
“Azerbaijan's arbitrariness and impunity must be stopped, which is possible by introducing clear mechanisms to investigate such criminal acts against the people of Artsakh by the Azerbaijani side and bring the perpetrators to justice,” the Artsakh Ombudsman wrote.
