From November 8 to 12, a joint exercise with the Collective Peacekeeping Forces of the Collective Security Treaty Organization Unbreakable Brotherhood-2021 will be held at the training ground of the Kazan Higher Tank Command School.
Military contingents of Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, and Russia are involved in the exercise to work out joint actions.
The basis of the Russian military contingent in the exercise consists of military personnel of a separate peacekeeping unit of the Central Military District (CMD) from the Samara region. Also, the exercise from the Russian side will involve the forces and means of signals units, special forces, electronic warfare, NBC protection, and the military police of the Central Military District.
The exercise is conducted in accordance with the plan of joint training of the management bodies and formations of the forces and means of the collective security system of the CSTO under the direct supervision of the commander of the Central Military District, Colonel-General Alexander Lapin.
The exercise will be held in two stages, during which the Collective Peacekeeping Forces of the CSTO will work out issues of planning and conducting a peacekeeping operation, joint actions to organize a refugee camp and protect it, escort convoys with humanitarian cargo, and duty at checkpoints. The exercise will end with a tactical episode of blocking a settlement captured by illegal armed formations and their destruction.
In total, more than 1.7 thousand people representing the armed forces and law enforcement agencies of the CSTO member states, over 300 weapons, including 8 Mi-8 and Mi-24 helicopters, are involved in the exercise.
