President of the Russian Academy of Sciences Alexander Sergeev visited the Armenian Genocide Memorial accompanied by Ashot Melkonyan, Director of the Institute of History of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Armenia.
Welcoming the guests, the story of the creation of the memorial was presented by Edita Gzoyan, deputy scientific director of the Armenian Genocide Museum-Institute Foundation.
The guests who arrived in Armenia laid flowers at the eternal fire and observed a minute of silence in memory of the innocent victims of the Armenian Genocide.
They also toured the Armenian Genocide Museum, got acquainted with permanent and temporary exhibitions.
