Moscow is determined to continue its efforts to co-chair the OSCE Minsk Group (Russia, USA, and France). The Foreign Ministry of Russia issued a statement on the one-year anniversary of signing of the November 9, 2020 trilateral statement by heads of Russia, Armenia and Azerbaijan.
“We are convinced that the potential of this universally recognized format is far from exhausted, as evidenced by the first meeting of the Foreign Ministers of Azerbaijan and Armenia since November 2020 under the auspices of the Minsk Group Co-Chairs on September 23 in New York at the 76th UN General Assembly. Urgent humanitarian and socio-economic issues were on the agenda of the meeting. The co-chairs’ plans are to visit the region and to continue contacts by a ‘3 + 2’ format,” the Russian Foreign Ministry said.
