Today, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan received Merab Turava, the President of the Constitutional Court of Georgia and the delegation led by him.
Welcoming the official visit of the Georgian CC representative delegation to Armenia, the PM mentioned:
“I am happy to emphasize that new dynamics are recorded in Armenian-Georgian relationships. The active mutual visits, close contacts of the delegations of the two countries presenting different areas, this time the field of the Constitutional Court testify to this.”
Nikol Pashinyan valued the experience exchange and the cooperative development of the Constitutional Courts of the two countries, taking into account the commonalities of managing systems.
Thanking the Armenian PM and Armenian side for the warm welcome, Merab Turava mentioned that after being elected the Georgian President of the CC, this is his first visit abroad, as evidence of Georgia valuing the development of the multilateral connections with Armenia. He rated the strong cooperation and discussions with Armenian partners to be efficient and stressed that the recent dynamics of the Armenian-Georgian connections is a good basis for strengthening legal ties of the Constitutional Courts of the two countries.
During the meeting issues of parliamentary governance and its democratic significance were mentioned. Thoughts were exchanged on the process of introduction of the parliamentary system of government and its features. Georgian CC President mentioned that Georgia considers inspiring and highly evaluates Nikol Pashinyan’s contribution in Armenian democracy.
