Alternative roads leading to Shurnukh and Vorotan are now being built. Gnel Sanosyan, Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructures, stated this today at the briefing with journalists in the Parliament’s corridors.
“We built Tatev-Aghvani in parallel, now we are building a road approaching Shurnukh separately, separate roads to Vorotan, separate roads to Bardzravan. We did this first. And in the future we are thinking of building roads bypassing the curves that are in dispute, so that we do not have a problem with M2 at all,” said Sanosyan.
To the question whether the situation with the roads does not concern his Iranian colleagues, and what economic problems the created situation has caused, the Minister answered that it has caused economic problems, and they are also concerned.
“During the meetings, they discuss what possible options there are, how we can resolve the issues,” said Gnel Sanosyan.
