The conditions for normalization of relations and peace in the South Caucasus are more favorable than ever. Recep Tayyip Erdogan, who is on a working visit to Azerbaijan, expressed such an opinion on October 26. He also touched upon the issue of normalization of relations between Armenia and Turkey, but again with a logic of preconditions.
“If Armenia shows sincere goodwill towards Azerbaijan, there will be no obstacle to the normalization of relations between Turkey and Armenia,” Erdogan said, stressing that Turkey will respond to Armenia’s steps aimed at establishing sustainable peace in the region.
