Georgia reported 4,155 coronavirus cases, 2,507 recoveries, and 40 deaths on Friday, the official figures show, First Channel reports.
Georgian capital Tbilisi recorded the highest number of 1,352 Covid-19 cases within the last 24 hours, followed by the Imereti region with 777 cases, and the Kakheti region with 669 cases.
A total of 49,960 tests have been conducted in the past 24 hours throughout the country. Among them, 32,008 tests were rapid tests, while the remaining 17,952 were PCR tests.
The daily test-positivity rate stands at 8,32 %, while 8,89 % in the past 14 days.
Georgia’s total case tally reached 684,337, among them 624, 688 people recovered and 9,657 died.
There are 48 people quarantined, 5,895 Covid-19 patients are hospitalized, 1,003 asymptomatic, and mild symptom patients are placed at the government-assigned facilities.
As of October 22, 1,938,274 people got the Covid-19 vaccine, with 5,309 in a day.
