Maria Zakharova, the Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman of Russia mentioned that it was not the first meeting in this gauge, referring to the meeting of the spiritual leaders of Russia, Armenia and Azerbaijan in Moscow:
“The contacts of the spiritual leaders remain for decades. They are different with the high level of trust, in any case, this can be judged from the assessment of the leaders themselves”, mentioned Zakharova.
She mentioned that it is a unique gauge and it undoubtedly contributes to strengthening the mutual understanding and promoting the interfaith dialogue between the sides: “The meeting held in Moscow, on October 13 will serve to the settlement of the Armenian-Azeri relationships and the improvement of the general situation in Transcaucasia, including the strengthening of trust, the solution of the urgent humanitarian issues and of course the preservation of the objects of the cultural-religious heritage. This is a very important gauge to overcome problems and create an atmosphere of trust and dialogue”, stressed Zakharova.
