On October 14, the meeting of the Armenian, Russian and Azerbaijani foreign ministers took place in Minsk, the capital of Belarus, by the initiative of the Russian side.
The foreign ministers discussed issues related to the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, including the process of implementing the November 9, 2020 tripartite statement.
Armenian Foreign Minister highly appreciated Russia’s intermediary efforts aimed at ceasefire and valued the presence of the Russian peacekeepers in the context of providing the security of the Artsakh Armenians.
At the same time, Minister Mirzoyan drew the attention of the sides to the fact that some provisions of the November 9 statement are not yet implemented and stressed the necessity of the immediate and unconditional repatriation of the Armenian captives of war and other detainees.
Referring to the meeting mediated and participated by the OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairs in New York, Minister Mirzoyan once again reaffirmed that the comprehensive and long-lasting settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict must be implemented by the gauge of the OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairs and in the framework of the international mandate, based on principles and elements known to the parties.
