On October 14, Alen Simonyan, the President of the National Assembly received Patrick Swenson, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of Sweden to Armenia.
Greeting the Ambassador, the President of NA mentioned that Sweden is one of the important and reliable partners for Armenia.
The NA President referred to the existent close and efficient cooperation between the delegations in different inter-parliamentary platforms.
Talking about the Armenia-Sweden cooperation, Alen Simonyan highly appreciated the support of the friendly country to the democratic activities in Armenia, he also valued the financial support of the Swedish Parliament in developing a number of spheres.
In the context of bilateral cooperation, the NA President stated that the cooperation with Sweden is also important in the gauge of Armenia-EU relationships.
Thanking for the admission, Patrick Swenson valued the development of the bilateral parliamentary connections, the expansion of the multilateral cooperation.
The sides discussed a number of issues related to deepening Armenia-Sweden cooperation.
