The Attorney-General of the Islamic Republic of Iran is in Armenia on a three-day working visit.
The first visit of the Attorney-General of the Islamic Republic of Iran during the recent 8 years started with the extended negotiations with the Prosecutor General of the Republic of Armenia.
In his speech, Armenia's Prosecutor General Artur Davtyan noted that the purpose of the meeting was to record the achievements of the previous meetings and to address the new challenges.
“The efficiency and quality of the fulfillment of our investigative demands has increased. We have made significant progress in the protection of Iranian citizens, especially in the transfer of convicts.
Our recurrent meeting today in fact was aimed at recording the achievements of our previous meetings and, of course, to address new challenges. We have new challenges, especially as a result of battles unleashed by Turkish-Azerbaijani mercenary terrorists in the region on September 27 last year. In particular, new challenges have arisen in the field of human rights protection and border security, which need to find their solutions quickly, especially in legal processes,” Davtyan said.
