Iran's Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdollahian and his Azerbaijani counterpart Jeyhun Bayramov emphasized the need to resolve differences through dialogue in a telephone conversation on Tuesday, Xinhuanet reports.
The ministers discussed the latest developments in the Iranian-Azerbaijani relationship, and stressed the need for mutual respect regarding the sovereignty and territorial integrity of other countries, according to a report on the Iranian Foreign Ministry's official website.
Abdollahian said the two countries must prevent misunderstandings, and Iran expects that the current problem of the Iranian trucks will be solved.
Bayramov described the relations between the two countries as friendly, and said the ties with friendly countries are a priority for Baku, it reported.
The Azerbaijani minister proposed talks between customs officials of the two countries to solve the transit problem of Iranian goods.
