Head of Armenian Parliament’s delegation to PACE Ruben Rubinyan told what reports were discussed at the regular PACE session, which are of interest for Armenia.
“One of the interesting reports for us was the report on the humanitarian consequences of the Karabakh conflict, which has been prepared for months. This report addresses all of the concerns we had and all the provisions we wanted to make in that report. In particular, the report states that the war is a violation of the conflicting parties’ commitments to join the Council of Europe and that PACE should study the issue.
The transfer of Syrian mercenaries to Karabakh with the support of Turkey or with the participation of Turkey and its participation in the war is recorded.
There is a clear call to Azerbaijan to immediately return all prisoners of war (POWs) and detainees, regardless of the status those detainees have in Azerbaijan.
They also speak about the dangers threatening the Armenian cultural heritage, condemn the existence of a false Albanian thesis in Azerbaijan. There is also a reference to the official, high-level hate speech used in Azerbaijan,” said the head of the Armenian delegation to PACE.
