On October 11, Minister of Justice of Armenia Karen Andreasyan received the Chairman of the Control Chamber of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Chairman of the International Organization of Supreme Audit Institutions Harib Saeed Al Amimi.
Minister Andreasyan thanked the President of the Chamber for his visit to Armenia, underlined the fraternal ties between the peoples of the two countries, praised the medical assistance provided to Armenia during the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic last year and expressed hope that this visit will give special impetus to Armenia-UAE trade potential and its implementation planning.
Harib Saeed Al Amimi thanked the Minister for the warm reception, presented the activities of the Control Chamber in the UAE and expressed readiness to share their experience with Armenia.
In his turn, Minister Andreasyan presented the agenda of Armenia's reforms, in particular, touched upon the activities of the new anti-corruption bodies and other issues of mutual interest.
The Chairman of the Control Chamber expressed confidence that this visit will open a new page in bilateral relations, and invited Karen Andreasyan to UAE to participate in ExpoDubai. Minister Andreasyan accepted the invitation.
Within the framework of the visit to Armenia, the delegation will also have meetings with Armenia’s Deputy Prime Minister Suren Papikyan, Chairman of the State Revenue Committee Rustam Badasyan, and Chairman of the Audit Chamber Levon Yolyan.
