EU condemned a terrorist attack on a mosque in the northern Afghan city of Kunduz on October 8 that killed at least 100 people. The EU calls for the perpetrators to be brought to justice. This is stated in a statement issued by the representative of the EU Foreign Policy Service Peter Stano.
In a Twitter post, the EU representative said that the rights and security of all Afghans should be protected, regardless of their ethnicity or religion. He stressed that the continuation of terrorist attacks is a serious obstacle to peace and stability in Afghanistan.
A powerful explosion at a Shi'ite mosque in the northern Afghan province of Kunduz has killed at least 100 people. Mohammad Jalal, member of the Taliban's cultural affairs committee, said Islamic State militants in Khorasan carried out the attack.
