On October 7, in the Oguzhan Presidential Palace, Ruben Kharazyan, the Armenian Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Turkmenistan, handed over the credentials to Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedow, the President of Turkmenistan.
Congratulating Kharazyan on assuming the post of the Armenian Ambassador in Turkmenistan, President Berdimuhamedow expressed hope that the activity of the newly appointed Ambassador will contribute to strengthening the friendly relations and the efficient cooperation between Armenia and Turkmenistan.
Ambassador Kharazyan transferred the greetings of the Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and Armenian President Armen Sarkissian to the President of Turkmenistan and assured that during his post, he will invest all the effort to expand and develop the Armenian-Turkmen cooperation.
At the end of the meeting, Ruben Kharazyan answered the questions of the News Agency reporters and the State Television of Turkmenistan and laid flowers at the tomb of the Turkmen First President Saparmurad Niyazov and at the Independence Memorial.
