Former President of Georgia refused to stop the hunger strike. Archpriest Mikael Botkoveli, the Secretary of the Catholicos-Patriarch, reported to the journalists after visiting the ex-president in jail.
According to him, Saakashvili asked to transfer to the Catholicos that he wants his cross back.
Earlier, the Georgian patriarchate spread a message mentioning that the Secretary of the Catholicos-Patriarch would ask Saakashvili to stop the hunger strike on behalf of the Georgian Orthodox Church.
