Moscow is in dialogue with all of the regional players. Maria Zakharova, the Director of the Information and Press Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation stated during the weekly briefing, answering the question related to the announcement of the Iranian Foreign Minister on the geopolitical situation in South Caucasus and the tendency to changing the borders:
“Our principal position is the following: the issue of promoting geopolitical stability and security in the South Caucasus is a priority. Our country pursues a corresponding comprehensive policy, being in a dialogue with all of the regional players”, mentioned Zakharova.
She added that during the meeting, on October 6 in Moscow, Russian and Iranian Foreign Ministers discussed the “3+3 platform”, offered by Erdogan (Armenia, Georgia, Azerbaijan, Russia, Iran, Turkey) possibility of creating.
Zakharova mentioned that Iran is positive on this issue.
