On October 6, Varos Simonyan, the Deputy Minister of Economy had a meeting with Tomaz Mencin, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Slovenia to Armenia in the ministry.
Greeting the Ambassador, Simonyan praised Slovenia’s role as an EU member country and shortly informed about the main directions of the cooperation and the progress of the implemented programs of the Armenian Republic and the European Union.
The interlocutors discussed the possibilities of the bilateral cooperation, separating the spheres of the machine building, particularly the production of cars with electric motor, pharmaceuticals, infrastructure, transport, tourism, agriculture.
Varos Simonyan offered to organize an online business event to establish and strengthen connections between Armenian and Slovene businessmen and also for promoting cooperation in the spheres of mutual interest.
Both sides observed the possibility to create cooperative intergovernmental commission.
