On 6 October, the Deputy Foreign Minister of Armenia Vahe Gevorgyan met with the EU Delegation led by the Director of the Neighborhood East and Institution Building in the DG Near in the European Commission Lawrence Meredith.
The sides discussed various issues of cooperation agenda between the Republic of Armenia and European Union.
During the meeting, the EU side touched upon the “Recovery, resilience and reform: post 2020 Eastern Partnership priorities” Joint Staff Working Document, the Economic and Investment Plan and flagship initiatives derived from it. In this context, the Armenian side highlighted the importance of the EU support to be provided for the implementation of mutually agreed flagship initiatives.
Referring to the issues of regional stability and security, both sides emphasized the importance of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict settlement under the auspices of the OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairmanship.
