Azerbaijan’s State Security Service has stated today that as if it has arrested a citizen for espionage in favor of Armenia.
According to the investigation, 51-year old citizen of Azerbaijan Zakiev Aydin Zaki oglu carried out espionage to the detriment of the sovereignty, territorial integrity, state security, and defense capabilities of Azerbaijan, assisted the Armenian special services in carrying out hostile activities against Azerbaijan.
Zakiev was receiving assignments from the Armenian special services through mediators located in the territory of a third country and carried them out. In addition, he was “instructed to involve other people in his activities.”
