On September 30, Vahram Dumanyan, the Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sport met with Roselyne Bachelot, the Minister of Culture of French Republic within the visit to Paris, on the jubilee event dedicated to Henri Verneuil’s 100th anniversary.
During the meeting, a number of issues of mutual interest were discussed. RA Minister of ESCS valued the friendly relationships of the two countries and expressed confidence that the possibilities to implement cooperative programs in the cultural spheres will contribute to the development of bilateral relationships, making new chances to expand the efficient cooperation.
There was a reference to cooperation in protecting the cultural heritage of Artsakh. Vahram Dumanyan thanked for sharing the concern of protecting the Armenian cultural heritage in the territories under the control of Azerbaijan after the 2020 unleashed war against Artsakh and the readiness to support in that matter.
Implementing cooperative programs in the field of art and preserving cultural heritage, retraining the specialists of the cultural sphere, the possibilities to organize cultural events together were also discussed. The development and signing of a cultural cooperation document between Armenia and France was also discussed.
At the end of the meeting, Minister Dumanyan invited Minister Bachelot to Armenia, to continue and object the discussions on the spot in the direction of replenishing Armenian-French cultural cooperation with long-lasting and visible programs.
