An international contact on formulating a united energy market in the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) area is being developed.
Temirbek Asanbekov, the Minister in charge of Energy and Infrastructure of the Eurasian Economic Commission reported, before signing the contract, the existing problems are to be solved, making changes in the domestic legislation of the member states of the union, after which, documents will be signed for the establishment inside the states.
Asanbekov also told that after creating a united market, the issue of acquiring gas under general conditions is under discussions and the decision can only be made by the leaders of the country.
Temirbek Asanbekov said:
“We just bring this principled position for the discussion of the parliaments of the countries. Now we are working on intergovernmental agreements. I think that this issue will take some time.”
