On September 30, Alen Simonyan, the President of the RA National Assembly Alen Simonyan received Juan Genaro del Campo Rodriguez, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Peru to the RA (Residence in Moscow).
Welcoming the Ambassador, the President of the National Assembly congratulated him on being appointed the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Peru to the Republic of Armenia, wishing him success in the programs to be implemented.
In the context of the close cooperation with the Latin-American countries the NA President highlighted the inter-parliamentary relations with the Parliament of Peru, emphasizing the necessity of formulating Inter-Parliamentary Friendship Groups.
Expressing his gratitude to the NA President for the reception, the Ambassador of Peru stressed that during the implementation of his mission, the development of bilateral ties would be observed of priority in the program. He mentioned that the role of the parliaments is important in strengthening Armenia-Peru multi-lateral partnership relations.
Issues on the membership of the two countries in the Ancient Civilizations Forum were also discussed, both sides emphasized the formation of the joint agendas on the cultural heritage at the level of the legislative bodies.
At the end of the meeting, ideas were exchanged over the necessity of the programs ahead of the 30th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the Republics of Armenia and Peru.
