Rustam Bakoyan, the Member of the National Assembly from the national electoral list of the “My Step” alliance of parties, Chairman of the Armenian-Yezidi Youth movement “Shams”, posted on his Facebook:
“Today, on September 29, an indescribably beautiful event was held in the Yazidi sanctuary of Aknalich, Armavir region, which was attended by Mir Ismat Tahsin Beg from the Mir family.
The event was attended by Yazidi clergy, representatives of the Yazidi community, representatives of Yazidi communities around the world, Armenian clergy and statesmen.
I must happily state that the great dream of all of us has come true: we have our own sacred sanctuary in Armenia.
Over the years, "Ziarata Yazidi" has really become a favorite place of pilgrimage for all of us.”
