On September 29, Armenia’s Deputy Prime Minister Mher Grigoryan, US Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Armenia Lynn Tracy, Armenia’s Minister of Justice Karen Andreasyan, Deputy Chief of Police Ara Fidanyan, representatives of Shirak, Gyumri regional and city authorities visited the Kumayri Police Department.
Accompanied by Ara Fidanyan, the guests toured the department, got acquainted with the location of the patrol service subdivision and operative control center to be established in the region in 2022, and discussed issues related to the improvement of working conditions.
The same day, a working meeting was held at the Kumayri police station.
Deputy Prime Minister Mher Grigoryan and US Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the Republic of Armenia Lynne Tracy discussed the process of work aimed at creating a patrol unit to be established in the Shirak province.
Mher Grigoryan praised the work carried out and highlighted the close cooperation with the US Embassy.
The participants spoke about both the achievements and the shortcomings of the patrol service, which has been operating in the capital for several months.
At the end of the meeting, specific indications and instructions were given on the establishment of the subdivision.
