The deputy chairman of the Republican People’s Party in Turkey, party spokesman Faik Öztrak criticized the financial and economic policy of the Erdogan administration, noting that the Turkish lira has depreciated by 6% against the dollar in 19 days, Ermenihaber reports.
According to Faik Öztrak, Erdogan’s promises are just an illusion, not even half of them are fulfilled.
“The government keeps talking about the goals of 2023, but does not say what they are. Ten years ago, on the eve of the local elections, Erdogan promised $2 trillion in national income, $25,000 in per capita income, $500 billion in exports and 5% unemployment.
Meanwhile, according to the medium-term program, in 2023 the national income will be $925 billion, per capita income - $10,703, exports - $242 billion, and unemployment will be 11.4 percent,” he said.
