On September 24 Arshak Karapetyan, the Defense Minister of Armenia received Mr. John Gallagher, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United Kingdom to Armenia.
The issues related to regional security were discussed during the meeting. Mentioning the activities of Azerbaijan aimed at destabilizing the situation, the Defense Minister presented the situation on the border.
Ambassador Gallagher mentioned that the UK supports the initiatives on establishing long-lasting peace and stability in the region and will go on making efforts in that direction.
The issues related to bilateral cooperation in the defense sphere were also discussed.
The sides expressed readiness on continuing efficient programs and initiating new ways of partnership if possible.
