French lawmaker Valérie Boyer wrote on her Facebook page, referring to Armenia's Independence Day and the challenges facing the Armenian people.
“On this Independence Day of Armenia, let us not forget the ties that unite our two countries. This Armenia, rich in culture and history of more than 2,000 years, with a strong identity, this Armenia, which fought for our freedoms alongside France, has passed the test of history, like France,” Boyer wrote.
Boyer wrote that Armenia is fighting for the survival of its people and itself against Azerbaijan and Turkey. Touching upon the current situation, the French MP also noted that on this Independence Day Armenia has the loss of thousands of young people, there are thousands of wounded, and the uncertainty of the families of Armenian captives.
"I am not Armenian, but being French, I want to say that Armenia is a sister to France, and I think it can count on our full support,” Boyer wrote.
