Artsakh Human Rights Defender Gegham Stepanyan informed that the French organization L’Œuvre d’Orient, the main mission of which is to support Eastern Christians in educational, social, health, cultural and other spheres, based on the collection of facts about Nagorno-Karabakh, recorded the following:
“Armenians from Nagorno-Karabakh have been found to be expelled from their historic territory. Armenian residents were driven out of their homes, villages, churches.
The Armenian people have acquired in their blood the right to live in peace and freedom.
The L’Œuvre d’Orient calls for Nagorno-Karabakh to recover all of its historic territory, in secure borders.
The work of the Orient calls for Nagorno-Karabakh to have a process of self-determination similar to that established in Kosovo and under international control.
The L’Œuvre d’Orient calls for France’s Government and the European Union to reassess the practical assistance given to these people.”
