The first cement factory was opened in Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh), the possibilities of which were introduced to Artsakh President Arayik Harutyunyan in the Askeran region. The $ 2 million plant is the largest investment in post-war Artsakh.
“We were able to produce a large amount of cement. The prices will be cheaper than the one imported from abroad,” says Vahe Hakobyan, Founder-Director of the company.
The affordable price and quality remind investors that the cement produced in Artsakh will not have a problem with consumption.
“The main sales market is Artsakh. The volume envisages about 60-65 thousand tons of annual production,” says Vahe Hakobyan.
They plan to produce other products in demand besides cement in the field of construction.
“The main product is cement, but we will produce concrete blocks, bricks, aerated concrete,” says Vahe Hakobyan.
So far, only a part of the factory is working.
In November, in case of working at full capacity, the factory will have 100 employees with an average salary of AMD 250 thousand (over $500).
