Asked by ‘Lurer’ how the unblocking in the region will affect the volume of trade with Russia, Armenian Deputy Prime Minister Mher Grigoryan said that it will be difficult to predict the exact growth of volumes at the moment, and Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexei Overchuk assured that all parties are committed to unblocking economic and transport ties in the region.
“Of course, there is a discussion on how to do it, but it is obvious that the unblocking and the restoration of the transport route will create significant new opportunities to expand and increase trade, including between Russia and Armenia,” said Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexei Overchuk.
"There are two factors that still need to be studied. The first is that, nevertheless, we have been in the realm of limitations for many years. It is obvious that the unblocking will have a positive effect, but we must continue to study what will happen in terms of volume," said Armenia’s Deputy Prime Minister Mher Grigoryan.
