On September 19, a church worship service was held in St. Sarkis Armenian Cathedral in Tehran, presided by Archbishop Sebouh Sarkissian, Prelate of the community, the rite comprising Prayer for the Republic, blessing of the Armenian flag and Liturgy marked the Independence day of Armenia.
The church service was attended by Artashes Toumanian, Armenian Ambassador to the Islamic Republic of Iran, the diplomatic staff of the Embassy, Norayr Aramian, Chairman of the Armenian Community council, Vahik Aghakian, President of the Community assembly as well as other Armenian community authorities.
