The Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sports of the Republic of Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh) Lusine Gharakhanyan informed that today she met with the members of the ‘Nagorno-Karabakh’ youth football team.
“What happened to the bus transporting the ‘Nagorno-Karabakh’ youth team is a classic example of terrorism. Because of this the horror of Beslan was experienced and felt. And scratching the emblem of Artsakh is another proof of hardening hatred towards Armenians. Sport is not subject to politicization, to intimidation as well.
Our athletes did not give in to the provocation of a Turkish terrorist. They will continue to conquer the borders of goodness, victory, strength, self-overcoming through sports.
By the way, the team is the champion of Armenia’s Youth Football Championship 2020-2021, and this year they won the second place in the youth football competition of 16 countries in Leipzig, Germany.
