Relations with the region are among Iran's priorities, the Iranian President stated before leaving Tehran for Tajikistan to attend the Shanghai Cooperation Organization summit.
Seyyed Ebrahim Raisi noted that the visit was made at the official invitation of Tajik President Emomali Rahmon. According to the Iranian President, in addition to attending the Shanghai summit, he will have meetings with the leaders and high-ranking officials of the countries participating in the summit.
