A memorandum of understanding was signed between the Ministry of Finance of Armenia, the Eurasian Development Bank (EDB) and the Analytical Credit Rating Agency (ACRA).
It was signed by Minister of Finance of the Republic of Armenia Tigran Khachatryan, Chairman of EDB Board Nikolay Podguzov and Chairman of the Board of ACRA Mikhail Sukhov.
Within the framework of the memorandum, the parties define the following spheres of cooperation: granting sovereign credit rating to the Republic of Armenia, ensuring access to rating services, including rating of Armenia’s financial market resident companies with ACRA credit ratings, provision of credit ratings to Armenian bonds within the framework of EDB cooperation programs.
At the end of the event, Minister Khachatryan assessed effective the numerous joint programs implemented with the Eurasian Development Bank, the cooperation with Armenia and expressed readiness to deepen it.
Nikolay Podguzov, in his turn, stated that Armenia and EDB have a long experience of successful cooperation, within the framework of which many joint programs and initiatives have been implemented.
He welcomed the steps taken by the Armenian Government to improve the business environment and promote private investment in the current economic situation, as well as short-term and long-term action plans.
