Houses are being built in Artsakh for families displaced by the war with great momentum. Funded by the ‘Hayastan’ All-Armenian Fund, it is planned to build 210 private houses near the village of Astghashen.
“Twenty-six are being built in different stages, of which the roof of 11 is ready. In 5 we do basic work, in 10 we build the walls and then move on to the interior,” says responsible for construction Hamlet Babayan.
The families displaced from the occupied communities of Askeran region, such as Sghnakh, Jraghatsner, Madatashen and Moshkhmhat, will live here. Residents of the villages of Nor Maragha in the Martakert region and Ughtasar in the Askeran region will settle in Ivanyan. The ‘Hayastan’ All-Armenian Fund finances the construction of 80 private houses.
“We assure about the quality, we use new construction materials, we try to accommodate in time so that our displaced residents can come and settle in their homes,” says responsible for construction Arnold Hayrapetyan.
A district is being built in Hovsepavan for the families of the victims of the 44-day war. Russian philanthropist Sergey Hambardzumyan sponsors the construction of 92 houses. By the way, every family will have a greenhouse to provide a permanent income.
“The work is mainly done on the walls, 24 foundations have been laid, we are already marking 0. Work is being done on the walls. The construction of the walls of 5 houses is in progress,” says responsible for construction Andrey Gabrielyan.
The problem of providing the displaced residents with a house is planned to be solved within 3 years.
