A business meeting was held at the Consulate General of Armenia in Los Angeles, which was attended by members of the Armenian ‘Mantashov’ Businessmen's Union of 110 companies, Los Angeles-Armenian businessmen, community figures. Vahram Mirakyan, Chairman of ‘Mantashov’ union outlined the business environment of Armenia, the union works closely with the state in order to further reform it. He noted that they often propose bills promoting business sector reforms.
The structure aims to expand its activities to include Diaspora Armenian businessmen. Branches of ‘Mantashov’ union will be opened in the Armenian-populated centers of the Diaspora. The first step in that direction is the establishment of a branch of the union in Los Angeles, which was announced during the event.
“We should not underestimate the potential of Armenian businessmen. I am confident that the businessmen will achieve their goal, and the consulate and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs will support the implementation of these programs,” says Ambassador Armen Bayburdyan, Consul General of the Republic of Armenia in Los Angeles.
“We have opened a branch in Glendale as the most developed Armenian community, later we will open branches in other cities as well, so that businessmen can connect with businessmen from Toronto, Moscow or Yerevan and strengthen the economy of our country,” says Vahram Mirakyan, President of ‘Mantashov’ Businessmen's Union.
