The new Russian Co-Chair of the OSCE Minsk Group, Igor Khovaev, visited the Azerbaijani capital Baku where he met with Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov. The interlocutors discussed the prospects for normalization of Armenian-Azerbaijani relations.
According to the report, the parties also discussed the implementation of the trilateral agreements reached after the Second Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh) war, the implementation of confidence-building measures.
Igor Khovaev replaced former co-chair Igor Popov in July. He noted that his visit to Baku is of cognitive nature.
