According to the Russian Foreign Ministry report, the counterparts will discuss the deepening of Armenian-Russian allied relations in all fields, expanding the cooperation in common integration unions – such as the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS), the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) and the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU), as well as their positions in the United Nations (UN), the Organization for Security and Cooperation (OSCE) and other international organizations.
During the meeting they will discuss the steps directed at the implementation of the statements made by the presidents of the Russian Federation, Armenia and Azerbaijan on Nagorno-Karabakh from November 9, 2020 and January 11, 2021. The parties will also touch upon humanitarian and economic issues in the South Caucasus, as well as lifting the blockade of transportation links.
The Russian Foreign Ministry expects the upcoming talks in Moscow to contribute to deepening allied cooperation with Yerevan, to strengthening security and stability in the region.
