On August 27, Ararat Mirzoyan, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia received Sergey Kopirkin, the Russian Ambassador to Armenia.
Mirzoyan mentioned that Armenia will continue to deepen and expand allied relations with Russia in all directions of the interstate agenda, which is also registered in the government's program accepted yesterday.
It was mentioned that the dynamics of developments at the regional and international levels make the need to give a new impetus to the Armenian-Russian relations.
The RA Foreign Minister expressed satisfaction with Russia's efforts aimed at implementation of the agreements of the November 9, 2020 trilateral declaration.
Referring to recent provocations by Azerbaijan, including the closure of the Goris-Kapan highway, Ararat Mirzoyan stressed that the Azerbaijani side is disrupting Armenia's efforts to de-escalate the situation and establish peace in the region.
The perties also discussed cooperation within the CSTO. Ararat Mirzoyan stressed that Armenia's upcoming presidency in the CSTO will make active efforts to develop the organization and strengthen its potential.
