In his final speech at the discussion of the government's program, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan touched upon the situation created on Goris-Kapan interstate road.
"Now, what happened: on those sections (on that 21-kilometer section), which on the USSR maps were excluded from the Soviet Armenia, the Azerbaijanis came and blocked it. As a reason they present co called incident that supposedly occurred last night – as if people entered from the Armenian side and stabbed Azerbaijani border guards.
We officially say that the information about the stabbing is not true",- said the P.M. calling on the Azerbaijani side,- to pass the information (if it is not baseless) to the Republic of Armenia, so we can investigate here and find out the reality.
According to P.M. Pashinyan, what happened on this section of the road contradicts the trilateral agreement between Armenia, Azerbaijan and the Russian Federation.
"Regardless of this situation, since 2019, especially in 2021, we have been actively involved in asphalting task on another Kapan-Aghvan road," he said.
A reminder: the National Security Service reported that on August 25, at about 23:00 local time, the Azerbaijani side blocked the Karmrakar-Shournoukh section of Kapan-Goris interstate road․
