Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Yevheniy Yenin told that last week unknown people hijacked an Ukrainian plane which was supposed to evacuate Ukrainians from Afghanistan.
"Our plane was hijacked.
On August 17, the plane was actually stolen from us. Instead of evacuating Ukrainians, the plane flew to Iran with a group of unknown passengers", told the official, without detailing how the incident ended.
Currently, all the land borders of Afghanistan are controlled by representatives of the Taliban movement.
The evacuation of foreign citizens and Afghans working in foreign missions is carried out through the only airport of Kabul, which is protected by the military of the US and other NATO member states․
