Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov has sent a congratulatory message to Ararat Mirzoyan on his appointment as Armenian Foreign Minister.
The message, in particular, says:

I cordially congratulate you on your appointment as the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia.
I highly appreciate your contribution to the development of effective Armenian-Russian inter-parliamentary relations as the Chairman of the RA National Assembly. I look forward to further promotion of close, versatile cooperation between the two foreign ministries, which represents the main interests of the peoples of Russia and Armenia.
