Journalist and radio host of Ori stereo FM Jacinto Romero was killed by two shots in a mountainous area of the Mexican state of Veracruz. This is reported by RIA NOVOSTI referring to local media.
According to media reports, Romero received threats via WhatsApp after publishing materials about abuse of authority by police officers in the state of Veracruz, and about clashes where relatives of the officials from the town of Tehuacan were involved.
Since the beginning of the year, this is the murder of the fifth journalist in Mexico. The last one was in July, when the owner of a news portal from the state of Sonora was killed.
