Arev Petrosyan learned to sew from her mother. Her maternal grandfather was a famous tailor in Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabagh).
Today only she does this in her family. After marrying, Arev did not sit doing nothing. She had to combine her work with the child care. She saved money and bought her first sewing machine.
After the war, the family moved to Yerevan from Artsakh. Despite great psychological and financial difficulties, Arev runs her small business in Yerevan. Orders are mainly from Artsakh. She does most of the work. Her husband does the delivery and organizational parts. After moving to Yerevan, she started everything from scratch.
The tailor already has three modern sewing machines. She does not complain about working from home, but wants to have her own atelier.
Arev says she is happy her childhood dream became her main occupation today. She is positive one day she will have her own atelier-store, except for social network accounts.
