By the decree of the President of Armenia, a military reserve and participant of 44-day Artaskh war (Nagorno-Katabagh) Shahen Garibyan from Tsovazard community was posthumously awarded the Badge of Military Merits. The hero's parents were visited by Deputy Governor of Gegharkunik Rubik Navoyan, Advisor to the Governor Ashot Karapetyan, Head of the Conscription Training Department of the regional administration Tigran Hakobyan, Vanik Gozeyan - accountable for Gavar branch of the regional division of the Conscription and Mobilization Replenishment Service of the RA Ministry of Defense. The officials participated in badge awarding ceremony. They voiced words of respect and remembrance to Shahen, comforted parents and relatives of the immortal hero. The badge was added to the items in Shahen Garibyan’s personal corner as a silent witness to his combat path.
